You spend a lot of time in your bed and I know you like for that “special person” or people (I don’t judge) to spend time in the bed with you, but can they at least lay up in some comfortable, stylish, and matching sheets? These are my best 8 tips on how to buy sheets to sleep and get laid on.
Buying comfortable, stylish, and matching sheets will make the bed look mature and inviting. Now of course it’s rules to buying sheets, and the first thing you need to keep in mind is the thread count, the fiber, and the finish.
1. Don’t focus on the thread count, the higher the count does not mean better quality. Thread count is a marketing trick used to make you think that your sheets are somehow better than they really are.
2.Stick with cotton fiber sheets, I prefer Egyptian Cotton or Pima Cotton sheets because they feel so damn good and the durability is awesome. Stay away from polyester blend sheets, they will make you hot and sweaty, not in the good and sexy way either. Also, say HELL NO to satin sheets because they are just tacky AF and we are not living in the 80s anymore.
3.If you are looking for thicker sheets invest in Linen Sheets, they will keep you cool and improve with washing. They are great to place on your bed for the Spring & Summer.
4.Other sheets to try that will keep you cool at night and claims to be softer than cotton sheets are Bamboo Sheets. They are durable, more breathable, and reasonably priced.
5.You can also check out the new craze in sheets, Tencel Lyocell sheets. They are an environmentally friendly material created from sustainably sourced eucalyptus trees. These sheets are also stronger and more durable than both cotton and linen. Check out the ones from Target CLICK HERE or West Elm CLICK HERE
6.Have at least 4 pairs of sheets and out of the 4 pairs make one or two of them your “Sex Sheets” (only put them on your bed when it’s about to go down). Just make sure the “sex sheets” are not black because they will show those cum stains.
7.For a more luxe or hotel feel, buy light-colored sheets like white, cream, tan, or light gray.
8.Make sure after investing in your new sheets, take care of them by washing them every week, DO NOT go longer than two weeks. Don’t forget to wash the pillowcases.
Sheet Washing Tips
1.Wash your sheets with baby laundry detergent, it will make them feel soft and keep them soft.
2.Use laundry Scent Boosters like Downy Unstopables, Arm & Hammer, or Gain Fireworks when washing your sheets, they will really make them smell good.
I hope these 8 tips on how to buy sheets to sleep and get laid on were helpful. Now throw away those old, cheap, unmatched sheets you currently have and upgrade TODAY!
