Your bathroom is a space you use every day and yet, it’s often overlooked as one of the most essential rooms in your bachelor pad. I like for my clients to understand that the bathroom isn’t just a place to get clean, it’s also where you go to relax and decompress. Let’s get into how I took this bathroom to the next level.
Here’s what the room looked like before:
As you see the space is very outdated and flat without any style or comfort. The client was looking for masculine relaxation with a therapeutic vibe.
Here is what the finished room looks like now:
I wanted to make the bathroom more modern and get rid of all the run-on white in the room, so I made these simple yet effective changes:
1. I covered the sink cabinet with wood grain wallpaper and switched the cabinet knobs with black pulls.
2. I added stripes to the wall with black contact tape and changed the shower curtain to a black one, as well as changed the shower curtain hooks.
3. Replaced the over the toilet organizer with floating shelves.
4. Incorporated greenery (faux and real plants), wall art (I made myself), LED candles, and rolled-up towels.
5. I also added home accessories like a black Buddha head, a wooden hand sculpture, a bamboo wood soap dispenser and bamboo wood floor mat.
6. For that therapeutic vibe, I placed LED puck lights on the ceiling.
7. To keep the inside of his shower organized I attached self-adhesive shower shelves to the shower walls.
