Fellas, I hate to tell you this but women do judge the way you’re living, and if your space is lacking comfort and order that will determine if we’re coming back over or not. Let’s get into the 8 important things women look for in a man’s home.
1.Your bachelor pad smells good
This might be the number one thing that women look for in a man’s home, scents can be a major turn-on or a major turn-off. Most women will turn their noses up if your home always smells like cheap cologne mixed with musty sweat. Buy some masculine-smelling candles, use air fresheners/room sprays, or invest in Plug-Ins. Also make sure you wash your dirty clothes, kitchen rags, washcloths, and towels weekly, these items can hold odor.
2. You have a real sofa
You should have a good quality sofa and not a futon, folding chairs or outdoor patio furniture as living room seating. When you invite her over for a chill night in, she is not getting turned on by sitting on anything uncomfortable.
3. Your comforter or duvet is the correct size
I see this issue so often in bachelor pads I style, they have a queen-size bed with a full-size comforter/duvet or a king-size bed with a queen-size comforter/duvet. Stop being cheap and buy the right size bedding to fit the bed size.
4. Clean grown-up sheets
She’s not trying to be face down, ass up on cartoon sheets that smell like the last chick that was over there. Invest in 3 to 4 sets of sheets and make sure they’re a good thread count. Also PLEASE wash your sheets weekly or change them when she or they come over, and don’t forget the pillowcases.
5. A bed frame and mattress
It’s a lot of men that are sleeping on air mattresses, this is not a vibe. Like I stated earlier she’s not trying to be face down ass up on dirty childish sheet, and she is definitely not trying to be face down ass up on an air mattress. Invest in a real mattress that will last up to 8 years along with a bed frame. Check out my blog post: 2 Easy Fixes To Get Your Mattress Off The Floor CLICK HERE.
6. A clean bathroom
A dirty bathroom will have her fleeing and leaving you on read when you hit her up. We can overlook you not having a bathmat or empty toilet paper rolls, but a dirty bathroom we’re not overlooking that at all. Clean the shower/tub, outside and inside the toilet, the sink, and wipe down your mirrors. Keep your toiletries in the medicine cabinet, under the sink, or organized in a gentleman’s tray. Don’t forget to sweep and mop the floor.
7. Books
Men that read are very sexy and some women do look to see if you have books in your home. They don’t have to be novels, they can be travel books, photography books, car books, cookbooks, or anything you’re interested in. Stack a few on your coffee table, place a couple on your nightstand, and of course have some in a bookcase. Also books are a great conversational starter.
8. Real window treatment
I say “real” because a lot of men have trash bags, bed sheets, and even towels covering their windows. Buy blinds or curtains so you won’t be “that guy”. They have inexpensive but good quality curtains at IKEA.
These are the 8 important things women look for in a man’s home. If you don’t have any of these things going on in your bachelor pad, it’s time to fix them ASAP!
